Charter Plane Prices and Options

You might think that charter plane prices are higher than standard airfare. Not always. Every once in a while a large group from our office will have to travel somewhere for a project, conference, or client meeting and in those situations we prefer executive jet rental. We have found that charter plane prices can actually work out to be much lower than if everyone bought individual coach tickets.

Charter Plane Rates

With a large group, charter plane rates are only one benefit of executive jet rental over traditional air travel. If you have ever been stuck in an airport for any reason, you know the frustration traditional air travel can cause.

Our time is valuable to us, our clients, and our families. We can’t be waiting in an airport for hours on end. To me, the most value in executive jet rental is the peace of mind knowing that you will get where you need to go on schedule.
Charter plane prices fluctuate just like any other travel fares. There are several charter jet services, but for checking charter plane rates and securing travel arrangements, One Sky is an invaluable resource. They have a pretty impressive aircraft selection that has worked out great for business or pleasure.

Executive Jet Rental

Executive jet rental from One Sky comes with numerous options that are sure to meet your travel requirements.

Light Jet Class
The light jet class is reserved for groups of seven (7) or less. While this class of aircraft typically provides more comfort than traditional coach travel, it isn’t as comfortable as some of the larger class jets available for executive jet rental. However, it is at the lower end of the spectrum of charter plane rates.

Charter plane Prices - Light Jet Class
The precise specifications may vary, but aircraft in the light jet class usually travels at around 450 mph and has a range of about 1800 miles.

Midsize Jet Class
As far as seating capacity, the midsize jet class is very comparable to the light jet class. However, there is typically an increased comfort level that goes with the midsize jet. The seating can be best compared to first class seating in standard air travel.

The midsize charter jets also have more features than the light jet class. These features are not consistent between aircraft but may include things like a full galley, various entertainment options, and a greater storage capacity.

The speed of this aircraft is also comparable to the light jet class. As you would imagine, being that these aircraft are a little larger than the light jet class, their fuel capacity is also larger and thus they can travel further than the light jet class charter planes. Typically you can expect a range of around 2500 miles from these aircraft.

Heavy Jet Class
The heavy jet class has benefits in multiple categories above the light and midsize classes. The first such benefit is that these jets usually seat around 13 people at a high comfort level.

Executive Charter Jet - Heavy Jet Class

This executive charter jet class also typically employs various entertainment options, a full lavatory, and a full galley. If you have a larger group, this class jet is certainly a great travel option.

With this larger jet class, you also get a small increase in speed and a large increase in range, around 3,800 miles.

Large Cabin
The large cabin class isn’t necessarily larger than the heavy jet class as this class typically seats around 10 passengers at a very high comfort level. Most of the features that you will find with the heavy jet class will be consistent with the large cabin class, the difference being the amount of space (including standing room) available in the large cabin class.

The speed of this class of charter jet is similar to the aforementioned jets. The range, however, of this class of aircraft is much greater, at around 3,500 miles.

Turbo Prop
I’m sure you are aware of the disadvantages of turbo prop aircraft. They are typically small, noisy, slow, and have a very limited range. However, for quick business trips you will often find that you can’t beat a turbo prop jet.

These aircraft have a range of around 1,200 miles and fly around 260 mpg. The comfort level isn’t quite coach, but isn’t first class either.
